Remote Is a Four Letter Word
The pandemic has pushed us into a world of remote working. For some it's a dream come true. For others it's a dystopian nightmare. But perhaps "remote" is the wrong word to be using, and subconsciously pushes us into the wrong mindset. In this session we'll look at the "new way of working", which is actually quite an old way of working, with a few tweaks. And we'll look at how to help a distributed team gel and function efficiently.
Dom Davis is a veteran of The City and a casualty of The Financial Crisis. Not content with bringing the world to its knees he then went off to help break the internet before winding up in Norfolk where he messes about doing development and devops. Dom has been writing code since his childhood sometime in the last millennium – he hopes some day to become good at it.
